SCSPS Legislation Initiatives

The primary goal of the SCSPC is safe, effective and quality care of plastic surgery patients. Our members have always been proactive in this approach. The SCSPS has assisted or contributed to the passage of legislation to mandate coverage of congenial anomalies such as cleft lip and palate, mandatory insurance carrier coverage for services for breast cancer reconstruction, Ambulatory Surgery Guidelines, Expert Witness Guidelines, Prompt Pay and Medical Tort Reform. Our society has worked through coalitions, contributions and participation. The SCSPS mission is to provide Safe, Effective and Quality Restorative Surgery In South Carolina.
